When coming into Veterinary Medical Center you should expect a warm, friendly environment. Our staff is always ready to greet you and your pet with a smile when you walk through our front door. Shortly after arriving you will be escorted to a private exam room, where your pet’s history will be obtained. The doctor will introduce themselves and begin a “head to tail” physical examination. The veterinarian will review any findings with you and educate you on any recommendations. We always make sure all your questions are answered before leaving the room. The technician will review the medical care plan with you and any costs associated. We pride ourselves in providing the best medical recommendations but alternative medical care plans, flexibility in treatment, and other aspects will be suggested when necessary to provide workable solutions to your family. Most treatments can be accomplished in the exam room, although if your pets need to come to the treatment area, you will be invited to come along! We believe pets are like our children, and having you present during treatments may help reduce anxiety and fear for your beloved pet. Our goal is that our patients LOVE coming in for their appointments and view our staff as their “other family”. Our treatment is designed for your pets comfort and safety. Before the end of your visit, we will take you on the behind-the-scenes tour to view our entire facility.
It is critical that we have a complete medical history for each of your pets. A review of the doctor’s notes, lab results, and vaccination dates helps our doctors define a comprehensive health plan for your pet. We may have already requested the names of any veterinary hospitals that have seen your pet previously. If you prefer to request and send the medical records yourself, please have them faxed with a cover sheet including your name and the appointment date to (410) 820-8328.
Our doctors review the medical history prior to your appointment. In order to facilitate this, we must have the records no later than 24 hours before your appointment.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, all major credit cards, debit, and Care Credit. Our credit card merchant requires an original signature by the cardholder on all credit transactions. If your pet needs to be brought in by a friend or family member, please make sure that you have established a method of payment.
