Born and raised in Chester County, Pennsylvania, Jane had dreamt of becoming a veterinarian since a very young age. She was highly influenced by her mother, a horticulturist who taught her how to care for all living things, her father, an engineer who taught her how all things work, and her grandfather, a large animal veterinarian who taught her what it meant to be a doctor.
She found her way to the beautiful state of Colorado for college where she studied Biology and began her journey towards becoming a veterinarian. Her time in Colorado molded her future and she eventually landed back home to begin veterinary school at her grandfather’s alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, in 2014. She developed an interest in animal reproduction and internal medicine during veterinary school and is excited to build upon these interests as she moves through her career.
Jane and her family are thrilled to be on the Eastern Shore where they are surrounded by water and close to family. She is soon to be married (November 2018), and lives with her fiancé, black lab, and two kitties. Their Labrador is an ex-seeing eye dog that is loving an early retirement with his new family. Her orange tabby, Dave, was a Colorado stray and has travelled across country more than the average person. Her other cat, Banjo, was adopted during her last year of veterinary school. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the great outdoors of her new home, fishing, spending time in her garden, and going to the Delaware beaches to visit family.
Jane is beyond thrilled to be a part of the Veterinary Medical Center family and is looking forward to building strong relationships with new clients for a long time to come.
