Meet our Staff
Deanna – Hospital Administrator
Deanna joined Veterinary Medical Center in 2015 with 18-years in the industry. She started as a kennel attendant and continued to work in a variety of different roles within a veterinary practice; eventually working her way up to practice management.
She grew up in California and relocated in June of 2015 to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Deanna has a special interest in Veterinary Practice Management & Veterinary Medicine and thrives on continuing to learn and grow within the field.
Deanna is a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband are the parents of three children and her “fur-babies”, Kansas, Panda and Mikey. On her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cooking for her family.
Caitlin – Office Manager
Caitlin has been with VMC since December of 2016, she originally started as a Customer Service Representative but quickly moved into the Office Manager position in July of 2017. Caitlin lived in Colorado for several years before moving to the Eastern Shore in 2011. She enjoys hiking, spending time with her family and being outdoors. She cares for her three dogs, Lexi, Hunter and Maya!
Karen – Equine Coordinator/IT Specialist
Karen is the Equine Coordinator/IT Specialist and has been with VMC since 2002. She previously worked on a Pleasure Horse Farm. She enjoys playing with horses when she is not working. Karen is happily married and enjoys spending time with her animals and trail riding.
Tara- Licensed Veterinary Technician
Tara is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and manages our reproductive services. She has been with VMC since 2009. She graduated from Delaware Tech with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and has been in the industry since 2002. Her favorite part of her job is client education, patient care and reproduction. She owns two Rottweilers named Chassis and Axle (aka “the baby”) and Cami her cat. She is an admitted “book worm” so, needless to say, she spends a lot of her free time reading. She also enjoys spending time with her animals and volunteering with DAAWGs Rescue and Pets on Wheels.
Marley – Licensed Veterinary Technician
Marley started with VMC in 2012 and is a licensed veterinary technician that completed the veterinary technology program at Manor in Jenkingstown, PA. Marley has 2 horses, 3 dogs and 1 cat at home and enjoys English and Westen pleasure riding in her spare time. Her favorite thing about being a veterinary technician is helping to benefit the lives of animals.
Amanda – Licensed Veterinary Technician
Amanda is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College in 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Animals have always been a huge part of her life, even when she was a small child. Amanda is married and a new mom to an adorable baby boy. She has a Doberman named Boo and her cat named Mr. Jingles. Her favorite part of her job is being able to provide pets with excellent care and working with a wonderful team. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Tammy – Licensed Veterinary Technician
Tammy Graduated from Delaware Tech in 2007 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She is married with 3 dogs, 5 cats, and community fish. Tammy’s favorite part of being in the veterinary field is patient care and assisting with surgery. In her spare time she enjoys camping, motorcycles, and surf fishing.
Rut – Licensed Veterinary Technician
Rut is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Delaware Technical College in 2016. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2011. She owns two dogs, Nammi, a Min Pin and Lina, a Pomeranian. In addition, she also cares for a variety of other animals, including several fish, a lizard, a cat and, just recently, a hedgehog! She enjoys time with her family, traveling and cooking/baking. She listed too many reasons as to why she loves working at VMC, but a few are; team spirit, client care and constantly learning!
Dodie – Veterinary Assistant
Dodie is a Veterinary Assistant, and has been with VMC since 2007. She is married with 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 horses, 1 dog, and 5 cats. Her favorite part of her job is helping animals. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, and family time.
Veronica – Veterinary Assistant
Veronica is an eastern shore native who has been with VMC as a veterinary assistant since 2014. She has a mastiff and several reptiles at home, as well as a husband who also loves all their critters. In her spare time, she loves reading and spending time with her family. Her favorite parts of being a veterinary assistant are helping senior pets as they age, and learning new things in the industry.
Christa – Veterinary Assistant
Christa has worked at VMC since April 2016. She attended Chesapeake College and completed the veterinary assistant program. She owns 3 dogs; Mossi Oak, a 6-year-old black lab, Lulu, 3-year-old black lab mix and Porkchop, a 14-year-old staffy terrier. She loves working with a great group of individuals and helping animals and clients! She enjoys spending her free time hunting, fishing, riding horses and going to hockey games.
Tracy – Veterinary Assistant
Tracy has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2013 and has been with VMC since May of 2018. Tracy has lived in Easton most of her life. She’s currently enjoying her days with her husband, their daughter, two cats and two guinea pigs at home. Tracy is our OSHA coordinator and does her best to ensure a safe work environment for our patients, clients and staff members. Outside of caring for animals, she loves spending time with family and friends, gardening, cooking/baking or watching anything food related on TV. One day she hopes to travel and finish vet tech school. Her interests are dentistry, client education and patient care. Tracy’s favorite part about working at VMC is working alongside such a talented and passionate team.
Kelley – Client Service Representative
Kelley started with VMC in 2017. She currently attends Chesapeake College. She loves working at VMC because of her co-workers, helping animals and meeting new people. She is a fur-momma to her 3 animals; Banjo her 70 lb. Newfoundland, and Primo and Cali, her domestic short haired cats. She spends her free time being outside, hunting and fishing.
