Dr. Caitlin Hutcheson

I knew as a young child that I wanted to be a veterinarian but I never imagined where that dream would take me. I studied in Western Australia, which gave me the opportunity to work with horses in Indonesia and participate in spay/neuter clinics in remote communities in outback Australia as well as work with owners and their pets in many different situations. I love that my job allows me to look after the well-being of animals, form a bond with my clients as well as help the community. You couldn’t ask for a better career than that!” ~ Dr. Caitlin Hutcheson

Dr. Hutcheson is a mixed animal veterinarian who graduated from Murdoch University in Western Australia. Prior to vet school, Dr. Hutcheson worked as a veterinary assistant on an equine breeding farm then worked in an equine clinic at a race track during her time in vet school. She has two Labradors that are part of her family; Hank a 2-year-old chocolate lab, and Boh a 4-year-old black lab, who she adopted after he was hit by a car and had a limb amputated. In her free time, she enjoys boating, kayaking and hiking with her dogs.
