We now offer therapeutic laser treatments for many conditions. Our veterinarians can determine if this method will be beneficial for your pet. The laser's main objective is to stimulate the metabolism of the mitochondria within the body's cells. This "energizing" effect helps to reduce swelling, redness, and pain at the site of the treatment. The laser is great for post-surgical patients to help reduce swelling, irritation, and healing time, and for those with chronic arthritis or joint conditions. Chronic problems may require multiple treatments to achieve the desired results.
Many patients with acute conditions such as ear infections or wounds are even able to see results in as little as 24-48 hours! Those with chronic arthritic conditions usually see results after 10-12 treatments and some are even able to slowly wean themselves off of daily pain medications. To begin with we usually recommend 3 times a week for the first week or two, then, depending on the patient’s response to treatment, we may or may not increase the time between treatments.
We offer discounted packages that include 10 laser treatments or treatments can be purchased individually.
