Deanna – Hospital Administrator
Deanna joined Veterinary Medical Center in 2015 with 18-years in the industry. She grew up in California and just recently relocated to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Deanna has a special interest in Veterinary Practice Management & Veterinary Medicine and thrives on continuing to learn and grow within the field.
Deanna is a devoted wife and mother. She and her husband are the parents of three children and her “fur-babies”, Kansas, Panda and Mikey. On her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cooking for her family.
Christine - Office Manager
Christine is our office manager, and has been with VMC since 2008. She grew up in East Meadow, New York and has been in Maryland for 5 years (&counting!). She and her husband, Brian welcomed their first child, Abigail in February 2013. And their home would not be complete without their four-legged children, their cat named Madelynn and a yellow lab named Isabelle. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, sewing, and spending time with her loved ones.
Jeanie - Client Services Administrator
Jeanie is the Client Services Administrator, and has been with VMC since 2008. Her father was a veterinarian and she has been in customer service for over 30 years. She is married with 3 rescued, spoiled puppies. Her favorite part of her job is working with the clients, their pets, and her co-workers. In her spare time she enjoys time with her pets, gardening, and Antiquing.
Tara- Patient Services Administrator
Tara is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and our Patient Services Administrator. She has been with VMC since 2009. Graduated from Delaware Tech with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology and has been in the industry for 8 years. Married with 4 dogs and 1 cat. Her favorite part of her job is the client education, patient care and dentistry. In her spare time she works with DAAWGs Rescue & Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue.
Karen - Equine Coordinator/IT Specialist
Karen is the Equine Coordinator/IT Specialist, and has been with VMC since 2002. She previously worked on a Pleasure Horse Farm. She enjoys playing with horses when she is not working. Karen recently got married and now divides her spare time between her 2 horses and her husband.
Cheryl - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Cheryl is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who joined VMC in 2012. She graduated from Delaware Tech & Community College with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology and currently teaches for the college as well. She is married with 2 dogs, 6 birds, and a Hedgehog. Her favorite part of her job is patient care & client education. In her spare time she works with Tri-state Bird Rescue.
Marley - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Marley started with VMC in 2012 and is a licensed veterinary technician that completed the veterinary technology program at Manor in Jenkingstown, PA. Marley has 2 horses, 3 dogs and 1 cat at home and enjoys English and Westen pleasure riding in her spare time. Her favorite thing about being a veterinary technician is helping to benefit the lives of animals.
Amanda - Licensed Veterinary Technician
Amanda is a Licensed Veterinary Technician who graduated from Delaware Technical and Community College in 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Animals have always been a huge part of her life, even when she was a small child. Amanda is currently engaged and has a cat and three horses that she helps to take care of. Her favorite part of her job is assisting with surgery and helping animals. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Matthew - Veterinary Assistant
Matthew is a Veterinary Assistant, and has been with VMC since 2007. He has been in the industry since 1997. He has 2 brothers, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 5 birds. His favorite part of his job is meeting new clients and their pets, and building a relationship with them. In his spare time, he enjoys horseback riding.
Dodie - Veterinary Assistant
Dodie is a Veterinary Assistant, and has been with VMC since 2007. She is married with 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 horses, 1 dog, and 5 cats. Her favorite part of her job is helping animals. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, and family time.
Ashley O. - Veterinary Assistant
Ashley was born and raised on the Eastern Shore. She had always dreamed of working in the veterinary field. Starting at a young age she would get in trouble for bringing home strays that were in need. Her mom’s most common phrase to her was “you bring home one more animal and I’m taking YOU to the pound!” Ashley has been working in the veterinary field since 2009 and looks forward to the years to come.
Tammy - Veterinary Assistant
Tammy Graduated from Delaware Tech in 2007 with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology. She is married with 3 dogs, 5 cats, and community fish. Tammy's favorite part of being in the veterinary field is patient care and assisting with surgery. In her spare time she enjoys camping, motorcycles, and surf fishing.
Ashley C. - Veterinary Assistant
Ashley grew up on a farm on the Eastern Shore. Animals have always been her passion and she has always wanted to work with them. She loves caring for animals and their owners. Ashley has two dogs of her own: Jinxy, a 3 ½ year old Portugese Water Dog, and Roxie, a 1 year old Chihuahua. She does agility with both dogs on the weekends. She also has a Domestic Long Haired cat, Bliss. In her spare time Ashley enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Janae - Veterinary Assistant
Janae graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 2001 with an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. She has 15 years’ experience in the emergency veterinary field.
Her favorite parts of working in the veterinary field are intensive care, patient care and emergency work.
Janae has lived on the Eastern Shore for 5 years with her husband and 2 girls. She has a Chihuahua named Chaos and a cat named KitKat. In her spare time she enjoys camping, going to the beach and playing with her two children.
Veronica - Veterinary Assistant
Veronica was born and raised on the Eastern Shore, and as a child she always had a love of animals- she and her sister incorporated dogs into every game they played. As an adult, after several ventures that didn't seem to truly satisfy, she decided to go back to school and found Chesapeake's Veterinary Assistant course. She loved the course and found through her clinical hours that she truly enjoyed being in the veterinary world, and wondered why it had taken so long to discover this. Her home wouldn't be complete without a dog, Mugsy, as well as a lizard named Lola, and her wonderful boyfriend.
Kim - Receptionist
Kim divides her time between the Veterinary Medical Center, her design business, and advocating for southern shelter animals. She is currently pursuing her Masters Degree at the University of Florida and enjoys spending time with her family and three rescue dogs Olive, Gracie Potter, and Beans.
Brittany - Receptionist
Brittany is a native to the Eastern Shore and has worked in animal welfare for over 7 ½ years and joined VMC in 2015. She enjoys horseback riding, fishing, gardening, spending time with family, friends and all of her critters on her farm.
